AquaLogic Harvest Summary

The Milfoil Task Force is excited to announce that AQUALOGIC have COMPLETED a two week-long project to hand-harvest the pesky milfoil in Sylvia Lake. The Aqualogic Team of four divers work from their pontoon boat at various locations around the lake. Each diver is certified in Advanced Open Water Diving, and in Weed Control Diving, and trained in Emergency Response. They are specially trained in underwater management of invasive species.

If you’d like to help, this would be an excellent week to spend some daylight hours paddling in the areas that are being harvested. While one of the Aqualogic team members will always be kayaking to net stray pieces of plants, we can use all the help we can get to scoop out the straggling bits that inevitably result from hand-pulling and underwater bagging of the plants.

If you’re not able to help on the water, PLEASE pay your Lake Association dues, and consider also making an additional contribution to help defray the costs of this project. We’re hopeful that we can make significant impact with five days of harvesting, and we have contracted for another week. Our milfoil problems are extensive. We know that extra dollars might mean extra days, which could make a big difference this year. If you can donate water, snacks, or anything that might make the dive team's stay at Sylvia a great experience, please contact a Milfoil Task Force member.
