Part Two - Q&A

QUICK FACTS

  • Eurasian Milfoil is an invasive species that has been causing problems in Sylvia lake since 2004

  • Milfoil currently affects all our lake shores to some degree.

  • Sylvia lake is so clear that milfoil has been found in 30 feet of water.

  • Past attempts through mats and harvesting have not solved the problem.

  • The Association Board and Milfoil Task Force are exploring options to save our lake. These include:

- Additional mats, - Harvesting, - Limited herbicide use
