Brad Baldwin's St. Lawrence University class conducted research on Sylvia Lake onTuesday, September 11, 2012. They tested water temp, clarity, light penetration, dissolved oxygen, ph, and conductivity. The students also collected samples of plankton, viewed milfoil progress and captured fresh water jelly fish. They were escorted and chauffered around the lake by photographer, Gale Ferguson.

July 3, 2012
Two St Lawrence University students have been collecting data at Sylvia Lake. Frances McNierney is traveling the shoreline by canoe identifying the various weeds and cataloging the exact locations by GPS. Deborah Hummel has been fishing with Ferg and selecting fish to check for mercury levels / growth rate / age and condition.
