This long-standing event marks the end of Summer at Sylvia Lake. In the long past, Ferg would pass out road flares, to be lit all together for the spectacle. Given the environmental impact and the year MaryJo Whalen's dock caught fire, the event evolved into a "Light up our Boats and Docks event." The event is basically a nighttime Boat Parade for Sylvia Lake grownups — but kids love it, too. Images of this year's parade were caught by Caroline Sprague, shooting from the South Shore.
