Sylvia Lakers have been keeping track of Ice Out since 1936. Now you can send your guess online. Those who guess correctly win the "official" Sylvia Lake Ice Out mug, mailed to you.

While most of us were missing the warm breezes of Sylvia Lake, the ice at Sylvia went out. A few cold days later, the Ice went In again... and days later, it was out. Alicia Porter, our judge was in a quandary. The date, although early, was declared the “first Ice Out” and the official Ice Out day for 2017. --- Cindy Shaw was declared the winner of the 2017 Ice Out mug.
