Peterman / Melvin's
Rocky Cove Lodge

Rocky and Bullwinkle

UPDATE: March, 2006

Well, we will have another generation at Wormwood Scrubs and Rocky Cove Lodge this summer. Born to Lisette, my daughter, on Jan 2, 2006, Taylor Catherine Marie Peterman.

Healthy and loud, she will be the 5th generation at WWS, and the 4th at Rocky Cove Lodge. Being Grandparents is a trip!

A short history of Rocky Cove Lodge

I (Jimmy Peterman) have been coming to Sylvia Lake for 50 years. Grandmother Taylor bought Wormwood Scrubs way back when... our family has enjoyed it ever since. When I married, my wife, Cathie (a.k.a. "Cat") also grew to love the place. We shared it with her family and they love Wormwood and Sylvia Lake, too.

Wormwood was becoming a bit crowded, so we all pitched in and bought Stan Orford Jr's. place, (the old Brown place) which had just been rebuilt. Stan named it Rocky Cove Lodge.

We kept that name, and added a little twist. Growing up with Rocky and Bullwinkle, and having lived in Vermont, we have a liking for moose. The camp now has a distinct moose theme and we are enjoying it to the max. We hope you enjoy some photos of the Peterman/ Melvin family from 2004.
